Custom UAV Design & Development

AVIOX develops unmanned aircraft around the actual mission rather than adapting a standard drone platform. The engineering process can start with an early feasibility study or with an already defined aircraft concept and continue through aerodynamic layout, CAD and manufacturing-oriented detailed design.

Mission-driven preliminary design

Payload, endurance, range, speed, take-off and landing requirements, operating environment, manufacturing constraints and available propulsion technology are translated into a credible aircraft architecture. Preliminary sizing establishes whether the target combination is realistic before large amounts of CAD work are created.

Aerodynamics, stability and performance

The aerodynamic layout can include airfoil selection, wing and tail sizing, lift distribution, CG range, static and dynamic flight-stability analysis, controllability, drag estimation, range, endurance and propulsion-performance calculations. The level of analysis is matched to the technical risk of the project.

CAD, integration and detailed design

Once the main configuration is defined, the aircraft can be developed into complete outer geometry and later into internal structure, subsystem interfaces, payload and avionics packaging, hatches, control linkages, landing gear, propulsion integration and manufacturing-ready assemblies.

Prototype and iteration support

Unconventional aircraft often require iterative development. AVIOX can support build preparation, integration, test planning, evaluation of prototype results, troubleshooting and redesign between static demonstrators, flying prototypes and later configurations.
