AVIOX is a young Austrian aerospace-engineering company focused on custom UAV development. Clients work directly with the person responsible for the technical development.
Background
Built from hands-on aircraft development.
AVIOX grew out of independent engineering work by Nikolas Schalhaas. What began with CAD, model-aircraft development and 3D printing evolved into increasingly complete UAV projects covering concept development, aerodynamics, stability, performance, CAD and prototype-oriented design.
The technical foundation combines formal aeronautical-engineering training with years of practical RC aircraft design, building and flying as well as manned glider experience. Independent commercial work started in 2024; AVIOX Aerospace GmbH followed in 2026.
The focus is on technically unusual aircraft where standard platforms are not enough, across commercial, research and specialized applications.
